2. Introduction to TPU adhesive raw materials for shoes
Polyol (a) Polyester Polyol ◆ is formed by esterification and dehydration of diols and diacids, such as: EPA (Poly ethYlane diol-adipate glycol)、PBA(poly butanediol-adipate glycol)、PHA (poly hexamediol-adipatglycol)、PEBA Wait.
The world's major manufacturers of polycaprolactone polyols are U.C.C, Solvay lnterox, DAlCEL, etc. Advantages: better hydrolysis resistance than PBA; better adhesion than PBA. Disadvantages: Poor hydrolysis resistance compared to PTMEG, slightly higher price.
Advantages of polycarbonate polyols: excellent hydrolysis resistance, good wear resistance, and good heat resistance. Disadvantage: The price is too high
(b) There are three main types of polyether polyols: PEG(polyehtylene glycol)PPG(polypropylene glycol)PTMEG(polytetramethylene glycol) Advantages: Excellent hydrolysis resistance, softness, and flexibility. Disadvantages: Low surface energy, poor adhesion, UV resistance, and poor weather resistance. Based on the above two types of polyols, PBA, PHA, and PCL are mainly used in shoe glue.
Isocyanate (a) aromatic
Advantages of TDl (Toluene Diisocyanate) and MDl (4,4-DiphenylemthaneDiisocyanate): low price, excellent mechanical properties, and fast reactivity. Disadvantage: Yellowing.
(b) (cyclic) aliphatic IPPI(Isophorone Diisocyahate)HDI(Hexamethylene Diisocyanate)H12MDl(Biscyclohexyl) methylene Diisocyanatel Advantages: No yellowing. Disadvantages: high price, slow reactivity, poor mechanical properties. On PU adhesives, MDl is mainly used for yellowing, while different formulations may vary for non yellowing. IPDI, HDI, and H12MDI are all used.
Chain extender: Ethylene (diol/triol) diamine with lower molecular weight, such as: EG (Ethylene dio1)、BG (Butylene diol)、HG (hexamthylene diol)、TMP(Trimethanol propane)、EDA (Ethylene diamine)、IPDA(Isophoronediamine)
Auxiliaries (a) Antioxidants: such as BHT, 1010, phosphorus based antioxidants. (b) UV absorbers: such as 770. (c) Hydrolytic stabilizer: such as Stabaxol.
